| The Preseli Holiday Cottages - Notes and History |
|---|
| Set in the peace and tranquility of the Preseli Mountain
countryside in north Pembrokeshire, yet only three miles from the
coastal village of Newport, with its excellent shops, restaurants and
sandy beaches. Cardigan is about ten miles away. This is the
uncommercialised part of the county, yet within comfortable driving
distance to many attractions. Walking sections of the National Park coastal path is well worth the experience and seals and porpoises are often seen by our visitors. Needless to say, seabirds abound and Pembrokeshire of course is home to a large colony of puffins. The properties have been in our family for 150 years. Pantymansial is the comfortable old farmhouse with open beamed ceilings, whilst Erw Beili was tastefully converted from a stone built barn in the early 1990's. Both sleep six and are graded as Four Star by the Wales Tourist Board. They are about twenty yards apart and hence offer privacy for couples and families, yet are ideal for extended family get-togethers for up to twelve people. One well-behaved pet is welcome. We own 20 acres of land behind the houses, which is available for walks and where you are likely to see rabbits, buzzards, kestrels and other wildlife. Foxes and badgers are also commonplace. |
